Content Strategist
Katelyn Mulchan
Katelyn Mulchan is 17 years old and from Manitoba, Canada. She is a grade 12 student who aspires to study environmental science. Katelyn applied to work for Achieve WE because of a passion for learning more about and uniting youth across the globe. She believes getting this generation even more involved in today’s social, political, environmental and humanitarian issues is a great way to spark positive change. School takes up a lot of her time, especially being involved in Student Government, where she acts as Prime Minister at her school. Katelyn likes being involved in extra-curriculars, such as Campus Ministry, where students lead faith-based events and do some volunteer work in the community. She also takes part in Sustainability Club to raise environmental awareness and collect funds for local initiatives. Apart from school, Katelyn spends most of her free time avidly reading or devoting hours of time to movies, often alongside her family. She really loves animals; so much so that she works at a dog daycare. However her ideal pet would be either a pygmy hippopotamus or an army of well-trained rats. One of Katelyn’s goals for the future is to travel as often and as much as possible. So far, she has gone on a school trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland and she has spent a summer working in the mountains in British Columbia. However, there are many more places calling her name. Most notably, Katelyn would like to visit Guyana, Portugal and the Philippians, which is where her family comes from. Travel excites her because it’s an opportunity to delve into the lives of people whom she can learn a lot from. For the same reason, Katelyn is very excited to start work with Achieve WE.
